![]() Not a big issue but may be annoying for some users. Today, I noticed a strange bug with the new implemented protocol and file handling feature using Zotero Portable (also affects every other portable apps as well). Here is my bundled AppInfo and DefaultData folder: ![]() Of course you can change it later to adapt your ZoteroPortable.ini. The only downside is that Zotero profile folder is moved from Data\profile to Data\Zotero\Profile and Data\Zotero folder is moved to Data\Mozilla\Profile. Registry will be removed when you close Zotaro. It tries to mimic registry data set by Zotero installer. Support (hopefully) for opening zotero:// protocol and some files ( ris, isi, mods, rdf, bib, bibtex, marc, and csl) directly using Zotero.Microsoft Word plugin ( Zotero.dotm) will automatically be removed after Zotero is closed (and will be restored back when you launch it again). All Mozilla leftovers will now also be removed, your current release will left Mozilla folders on %AppData% and LocalLow folder (it is not noticeable if you have non-portable Firefox because the Mozilla folders are already there). Moreover, the folder has the same structure as Firefox profile folder. I named it Mozilla to avoid confusion with the real Data\Zotero\Profile folder. I added an extra launch parameter (besides datadir) that forced Zotero to write its data on Data\Mozilla\Profile folder. launcher won't need to move (and restore) Zotero folder on %AppData% folder anymore.launcher will now replace Zotero datadir path inside prefs.js file with Data\Zotero\Profile path (default is %UserProfile%\Zotero). After updating Zotero, it will no longer shows a "Profile Missing" error message. ![]() Currently it has some advantages that are not avaiable on your current release: Hi there just made my own Zotero Portable config that I think you will want to adapt it on your future releases. EDIT: See the attempts of portablizing LibreOffice/OpenOffice plugin starting from this comment. ![]()
